“Just
Passing Through” is a story about a young man named Brian Halloway, who loses everyone
and everything he’s ever loved or cared about. Vowing to never again get close to anyone, he adopts a vagabond’s
lifestyle, traveling from town to town and staying in each place he comes to only long enough to make enough money to move
on. It’s a lonely, solitary life, but that’s the way Brian wants it. But when Brian finds himself stranded in
a small Kentucky town, he is overwhelmed by the warmth and kindness he is shown by the locals, particularly Max and Rita Blair
and their beautiful daughter Sarah. Can Brian stick to his vow of solitude, or will he be drawn in by the kindness of the
locals? “Just Passing Through” is the ultimate story of life, love, and loss.
“Just Passing Through”, which is financed in part by Kiefer Sutherland and Orlando Bloom, is set to begin
filming on location in Kentucky in the Fall of 2009. It will be amongst the first films of it’s kind to be casting the
lead starring role of “Brian Halloway” primarily based on public votes. After narrowing down the lead role to
3 possible actors, casting director Mary Carr, as well as Bloom and Sutherland, decided to let the public choose which one
of the 3 men should play the part. “We narrowed it down to Paul Meyer, Soggy Capone, and James Holt” said Bloom.
“They’re all 3 so amazing and each one brings something different to the table and we couldn’t decide between
them! So we decided to leave it up to the people.” Voting will continue through July 1st, 2009.
